Meet Maggie

I am a retired teacher who lives in Hanover, Pennsylvania, with my husband, Heath. I have always loved travelling and am a regular visitor to Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and I have cruised to the Caribbean, Bahamas, Bermuda, South America, British Isles, and Alaska to name a few destinations. My husband and I also enjoy visiting the wonderfully diverse cities across the United States in the form of short three or four-day trips, and we usually try to take in a baseball game while we are in town.

I have been planning vacations for my family for decades now, and throughout my teaching career, all of my friends and family were always making comments that I should pursue vacation planning as a vocation, since it is something I have always loved to do. Now that I am retired, I would like to help others make the same type of special memories that I have had the pleasure to make for myself and my family.. When I learned about Kate’s World Travel, I reached out to her, and I was warmly accepted as part of the Kate’s World Travel Family.

I specialize in planning multi-generational family vacations to Disney destinations, Universal Studios Florida, and ocean cruises, as well as short, 2-4 day ‘getaways’ to cities in these great United States. I stay up to date on all the latest travel regulations and special offers from the major cruise lines, Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Florida. My sister and I joined a trip organized through Kate’s World Travel-Norwegian gem cruising from Boston to Quebec in September 2025. Our travel agent Maggie was very responsive via email and answered all our questions. Kate’s World Travel uses an app called Tern to create a detailed itinerary for you. I definitely like this app. We were part of a larger group of retired teachers and friends and I had expected to do more things with the group or at least to make the acquaintance of everyone in the group, but that did not happen. We never met some of the individuals. one of the things I like about group travel is the opportunity to make new friends so I missed that. I appreciated having Maggie on the trip with us and we did meet up with her twice for a bit of social time.

Maggie did a great job listening to our desires for an Alaska cruise/ Canadian Rocky Mountaineer adventure. She set us up on The Celebrity Soltice Aquaclass stateroom which allowed us to have fabulous breakfasts and dinners in the exclusive Blu Restaurant. Celebrity staff were top-notch. As if that wasn’t enough, we then enjoyed 2 days of Goldleaf Service on the Rocky Mountaineer from Vancouver to Banff. Highly recommend this to anyone who wants to see the Canadian Rockies while being pampered with a great crew and delicious food!
