Meet Kim
I have been married to Bob for 28 years, and we have two adult daughters. Kelly, who is 24, lives in Colorado, while Stephanie, who is 21, is starting her senior year at DeSales University. Now that we are empty nesters, I have more time to focus on my passions. Since 1992, I have worked as an accountant, and I have my own firm since 1999. Recently, I scaled my accounting business down to just myself and part-time employees to allow me to fully enjoy life and pursue a second career in travel advising. This new career also provides the flexibility to travel with my husband as he plans to retire in a few years.
My love for travel began early, with my first visit to Disney in 1979 and spending summers exploring the outdoors at my grandparents’ cabin. My passion for Disney and Universal Studios has continued, and my daughters and I have enjoyed visiting these parks four more times since Stephanie turned five. Every year, we spend two weeks vacationing at Hilton Head Island, which is my happy place and sets the standard for all my travels.
I have cruised on the Norwegian Dawn with my sister, traveling from New York to the Bahamas and back, with stops in Miami and Port Canaveral/Kennedy Space Center. As a college graduation present, I toured the California coast, planning daily excursions from our base in Santa Monica. I’ve also visited Hawaii, exploring Oahu and the Big Island for a conference, where we enjoyed touring and snorkeling.
Since 2022, I’ve frequently visited Colorado to see my daughter and have fallen in love with the state’s beautiful scenery, excellent food, fun activities, and non-humid, sunny weather. Colorado offers diverse landscapes that remind me of other countries without leaving the United States.
Traveling and planning trips provide a wonderful escape from everyday life, allowing me to immerse myself in local customs and cuisine. My love for planning extends beyond travel; I enjoy organizing events and US trips for personal use and family, reveling in the research and planning process.
