TRIP ITINERARY

ACCOMMODATION

Room Types and Layouts:

We will forward your room request to the hotel; however, room assignments are made at each property’s discretion and cannot be guaranteed.

For most hotels, the standard double room consists of two small beds joined together with a mattress topper to create a queen or king-sized bed.

A single or solo room has only one queen or king-sized bed. If your tour includes multiple hotel stays, your preference may be honored at one property, all properties, or none.

A triple room usually consists of a standard double room with two beds. A cot or fold-up bed may be added, but it depends on the room size and local fire codes. The number of persons accommodated does not dictate the room size. Triples are first come, first-served, as they are also very limited. If you booked a triple and only a double and single room is available at a hotel, appropriate charges for the single and double accommodations will be assessed.

Amenities vary by property. For details such as hair dryers, safes, or Wi-Fi availability, please refer to the hotel name listed in your final travel documents. You are also welcome to look up the hotel online for the most current and specific information.

Check-in is typically after 3:00 p.m. Early check-in is uncommon due to high occupancy. If you arrive before your room is ready, the hotel may offer to store your luggage in a secure location, though this service may come with a fee and the hotel is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

At check-in, you may be asked to provide a credit card or passport for incidentals. Any additional charges must be paid at check-out. Please note that hotel membership programs are not applicable.

Hotels are located in city areas and typically offer a range of facilities such as a concierge, bars and restaurants, room service, pools, and gyms. Rooms may be smaller than standard hotel rooms in your home country. In some properties, air conditioning and heating systems are centrally controlled and operate seasonally. Not all hotels have air conditioning, and those that do may not cool to the degree you are accustomed to at home.

• Culinary Experiences •

You’re in for a treat when you savor the flavors of Eastern Canada!

Traditional foods in the province of Quebec have their roots with the French and First Nations traditions. French Canadian dishes are readily available in local restaurants. Soupe aux pois (yellow pea soup) and soupe a l’oignon (French onion soup), tourtière (a minced meat pie), foie gras (duck or goose liver), poutine (an interesting concoction of French fries topped with cheese curds and hot gravy) and anything flavored with local maple syrup are great items to try.

Montreal is famous for its smoked meats – such as pastrami – as well as its bagels.

The food people eat is a window into their history, traditions, and values, and sharing food brings people together. One of the many wonderful aspects of travel is to experience as much of the regional cuisine as possible. Your tour includes many meals as outlined on your itinerary. Our team has carefully chosen restaurants that feature local ingredients and offer regional flavors.

For meals that are not included in your itinerary, your Tour Manager will be happy to recommend eateries and local businesses that best fit your taste and needs.

The average price for meals in this region ranges from 10 to 15 US Dollars for breakfast, 12 to 20 US Dollars for lunch and 20 to 35 US Dollars for dinner.

Customary gratuities for meals in Canada are approximately 15%. When dining in larger groups (normally 8 or more), a gratuity or service fee may be added automatically to your bill. Check your bill before paying and if in doubt, ask.

Please let your Tour Manager know of any food allergies or dietary needs you may have at the beginning of your tour.

Traveled to Romantic Danube
Kate has been very helpful paying attention to the details of our upcoming riverboat cruise. We have some other trips we want to do and we will definitely have Kate take care of those arrangements.

Traveled to Paris and Normandy
Fabulous trip that was a trip of a lifetime from start to finish. Kate planned a river cruise that went from Paris to Normandy and then she planned a trip for us in the Cotswolds making it possible for me to fulfill my dream of seeing Highclere Castle. We even attended a tea with Lord and Lady Carnarvon and got to see their yellow lab puppies. It was the trip of a lifetime and wouldn't have been possible without Kate's expertise in planning every detail of the trip.

Kate, I cannot thank you enough for your help in planning a wonderful trip. You were so helpful from the moment I contacted you. You listened carefully to our thoughts and answered all our questions. Your suggestions for hotels and tours were great. The hotels were genuinely nice and centrally located. Everything went as planned. Having that app "Trip Plans" was immensely helpful. We referred to the app and the Final Trip Itinerary PDF numerous times for details and suggestions. The zoom calls prior to the trip were invaluable. We are also happy you suggested AmaWaterways. The staff was top notch, and they did a fantastic job under difficult circumstances. Finally, we appreciated your communication with us during the trip. When questions arose, you responded quickly. We had a fabulous time. The trip would not have been such a success without your help. Maria and I have already told people about Kate’s World Travel. We cannot wait to work together again soon!

Traveled to Christmas Market River Cruise
I have been working with Kate's World Travel on a Christmas Market River Cruise in December 2024. Kate has been so patient answering all my questions and guiding me through all the steps of booking this European River Cruise. Her knowledge of the countries, the excursion options, the boat, the food, the travel insurance etc. is extensive. I could not have done this without her. So far it has been an awesome experience.

Traveled to Christmas Market River Cruise
Kate and hubby were very patient with helping a technologically challenged 83-year-old with my zoom call! Kate's World Travel is very organized, knowledgeable, and wonderful to work with. Firsthand experience is a wonderful tool when assuring me that my cabin choice was the right one on my Christmas Markets River Cruise. I also booked my bucket list Greece cruise for 2025. It's very gratifying to know that many participants will be other teachers like myself.

Kate, Thanks for coordinating a wonderful trip to Hawaii. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and appreciate all the planning you did to ensure a great trip. We appreciate your excellent communication and the excursions that you set up which were much more reasonably priced than NCL’s. It was great meeting you and hopefully some day, we will have the pleasure of traveling together again. Thanks for all the work you did!

Thanks Kate. We appreciate you putting this whole thing together. We’ll be back in Indy in about an hour or so. Back to 32 degrees and light snow. GRRR! But, we had a great trip, got to see a lot of new things, and make some friendships with fellow travelers. It sure went by fast, though. Now, we’ll just look forward to the next trip!
